SINGAPORE stocks opened higher on Tuesday, with the Straits Times Index increasing 0.22 focuses, or 0.01 for every penny, to 2,952.41 at 9.01am.

Gainers dwarfed washouts 64 to 56, or eight up for each seven down, after 73.1 million shares worth S$71.9 million changed hands.
